Quality control inspector ll

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector II / Intermediate level to inspect custom wood packaging in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. 

What You'll Do
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of wood pallets, crates, skids, and custom wood packaging.
  • Measure finished products using tape measures, calipers, and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and specifications.
  • Compare finished products against engineering drawings, work orders, customer specifications, and documented requirements.
  • Identify defects such as incorrect dimensions, damaged wood, improper assembly, missing components, poor workmanship, or incorrect labeling.
  • Accept or reject finished products based on inspection results.
  • Verify proper stenciling, labeling, markings, and customer-specific requirements.
Applicants must have relevant hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
  • Quality Control or Quality Assurance
  • Manufacturing inspection
  • Production inspection
  • Warehouse quality inspection
  • Industrial or construction material inspection
  • A manufacturing environment where measurements tools, specifications, or drawings were used
Pay:
• $19-$22 per hour

Requirements:
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screen

Available Shifts:
• 1st Shift
• 3rd Shift
• 12-hour shifts- 4-day workweek, 3 days off                                            

Skills and Experience

You Must Be Comfortable With:

  • Measuring and verifying dimensions accurately
  • Using a tape measure and basic inspection tools
  • Reading and following engineering drawings, work orders, or detailed specifications
  • Identifying defects and determining whether a product meets requirements
  • Working around wood pallets, crates, lumber, and finished products
  • Standing, walking, bending, and inspecting products throughout the shift
  • Working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Documenting inspection results accurately/Tech savy
  • Communicating quality issues directly with production personnel
