Supervisor - Industrial maintenance

Overview

Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) on automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, and support systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues to reduce downtime and improve system performance. Conduct PLC diagnostics, wiring, and sensor adjustments to optimize automated machinery. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to analyze root causes and drive process improvements. Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities in CMMS systems. Participate in the equipment installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery. Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives for process efficiency and workplace organization. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations. 

Qualifications: Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or robotics. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls. Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens). Skilled in reading schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in AutoCAD, CMMS, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Mentoring and coaching skilled trades employees

  • Time management and shift coordination

  • Continuous improvement and process optimization

  • Ethical leadership and professional judgment

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting (motors, sensors, drives preferred)

  • CMMS usage for maintenance tracking and documentation (preferred)

Experience 

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Prior experience leading or supervising maintenance technicians or skilled trades
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Experience in planning, prioritizing, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Proven track record of maintaining safe, reliable plant operations in a production setting
