What You'll Do as a Fiber Optic Small Assembler:
  • You'll work with pre-molded components and very small parts to create precise fiber-optic assemblies.
  • Assemble small fiber-optic components using hand tools, adhesives, and other specialized equipment.
  • Handle and assemble precision ferrules and other small components that have already been manufactured and molded.
  • Use microscopes to inspect small components and verify quality.
  • Use digital gauges and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Operate and monitor automated cleaning, polishing, and other production equipment.
  • Identify defects or inconsistencies and follow established procedures to address quality concerns.
  • Enter production and quality information into a computer system.
  • Consistently follow work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Communicate with teammates and leadership regarding production, quality, or equipment concerns.

Skills and Experience

What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
  • No Fiber Optic experience? No problem. If you have a background in jewelry making, sewing, electronics repair, laboratory work, pharmacy, high-end food prep, or other detail-oriented work, then you likely have the steady hand and eye for detail we're looking for.
  • Hands on training for candidates with the right attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to read and understand English
  • Strong hand-eye coordination (if you enjoy jewelry making, sewing, or building PCs, you’ll love it here)
  • Comfortable with basic math (reading a ruler or converting simple measurements)
  • Quality-minded, dependable, and able to stay focused on precise, repetitive tasks. 
  • Ability to stand/sit for the entire shift and lift up to 10 lbs.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
