What You’ll Do as a Wastewater Systems Operator:
This hands-on role is critical to the company’s environmental operations, blending technical maintenance work with the daily operation of the plant’s ALAR wastewater treatment system. You’ll split your time between maintaining equipment and ensuring wastewater processes run safely, efficiently, and in compliance.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the plant’s ALAR wastewater treatment system
- Work confidently with transfer tanks, pumps, valves, manifolds, chemical metering systems, filtration units, sanitation equipment, and hydraulic systems
- Collect samples, perform basic lab testing, and make process adjustments as needed
- Complete preventive maintenance and light mechanical repairs (approximately 15–20 hours per week)
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation while following strict safety and environmental protocols
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Hands-on experience with ALAR wastewater systems is a must.
- Technical or mechanical background (maintenance, sanitation, or equipment troubleshooting).
- Will consider 6 months-1 year of Boiler Operation experience in place of direct Wastewater Systems Operation experience
- Familiarity with wastewater processes, including chemical dosing and quality testing.
- Wastewater certification or willingness to earn one.
- Strong attention to detail, safety practices, reliability, and teamwork.
Bonus points if your experience includes: Hydro-agriculture operations, complex food manufacturing (slurry processing, retort canning), or municipal water/wastewater treatment.
