Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and management of finished goods. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Skills and Experience
- Receiving and Stocking: Accurately receive and stock finished goods, ensuring all materials are logged correctly into our inventory management system.
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload freight from trailers, utilizing heavy equipment such as stand-up forklifts, swing reach trucks, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers when necessary.
- Shipment Processing: Receive shipments, accurately scan box labels, and inspect products for quality and condition, promptly reporting any discrepancies.
- Shipping Audits: Conduct thorough shipping audits, providing precise counts and weights, and documenting data in audit reports for each shipment to maintain high accuracy standards.
- Inventory Management: Participate in mandatory biannual physical inventories of the warehouse, ensuring all stock levels are accurately reflected in our system.
- Task Execution: Read daily reports and/or follow verbal instructions to efficiently move materials or containers from designated inventory locations in preparation for shipment.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean working environment, conducting daily safety inspections and equipment checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Height Exposure: Please note that all Material Handlers will be exposed to heights of 30+ feet during the use of equipment such as cherry pickers.
- Flexibility: Perform other duties as assigned by management or as required by business needs.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment, including stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Ability to work at heights and follow safety protocols
Requirements:
- GED or high school diploma
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean background
- Knowledge of basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
