Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Envelope Packer / Machine Helper to support our envelope manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring product quality, accurate packing, and smooth machine operation.
Skills and Experience
-Inspect previous shift’s work for quality and correctness; report any issues to supervisor.
-Feed envelope blanks into machines using proper fanning techniques and maintain correct blank levels.
-Check finished envelopes throughout production following company quality control procedures; notify adjusters of any issues.
-Assemble cartons for packing envelopes.
-Label cartons according to company procedures.
-Pack finished envelopes into cartons and properly stack them onto skids.
-Assist machine adjusters with clearing jams, troubleshooting, maintenance, and job setup.
-Maintain a clean and organized machine area.
-Complete production paperwork and pull samples as required.
-Follow company downtime procedures.
-Communicate equipment status, job progress, and other important information between shifts.
-Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, repetitive motions, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
