Pressman

-Assist Press Operator with make-ready, operating, and maintaining sheet-fed offset printing presses.
-Insert packing sheets on the plate cylinder to achieve correct printing height.
-Fasten reinforcing bars to offset blankets and install plates/blankets on press cylinders using hand tools.
-Adjust press machine components, including feeder and delivery systems, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, and jogging devices.
-Help remove and replace worn rollers; adjust roller pressure using hand tools.
-Clean blankets, ink rollers, ink fountains, and other press components using ink solvents and press cleaning systems.
-Assist with color adjustments, register corrections, and press settings prior to production runs to meet job quality requirements.
-Follow job specifications to prepare correct materials and ensure proper press setup.
-Perform routine operational maintenance and minor repairs under guidance of senior Press Operators.
-Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
-General knowledge of offset printing press procedures and materials preferred.
-Ability to adjust feeder systems and feed board components, including suction, blast, front/side guides, and head-stop timing.
-Basic mechanical skills and comfort using hand tools.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
-Strong teamwork and communication skills.
