Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Die Cutter to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to maintain high quality standards, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Skills and Experience
-Inspect previous shift’s work for quality and accuracy; report any issues to supervisor.
-Maintain consistent quality of envelope blanks by following company quality control procedures.
-Set up die-cutting machines for each job with minimal downtime.
-Operate machines at optimal speed to meet or exceed production goals while upholding quality standards.
-Identify, troubleshoot, and correct machine malfunctions promptly.
-Notify supervisor of maintenance or repair needs beyond routine adjustments.
-Keep die-cutting machines and surrounding work area clean and organized.
-Complete all required production paperwork and pull samples as instructed.
-Communicate effectively with both outgoing and incoming shifts regarding equipment status, job progress, and other relevant information.
-Perform routine maintenance on die-cutting machines as directed.
-Ensure envelope dies are placed back in their correct cabinet slots.
-Perform physical duties including standing for long periods, repetitive hand/wrist motions, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
-Cross-train on additional cutting equipment based on production needs.
