Overview

Customs Documentation:
  •  Prepare and process import/export documents such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs declaration.
Regulatory Compliance:
  •  Ensure shipments meet all local and international customs regulations (e.g., U.S. Customs, CBP, or international equivalents).
Freight Coordination:
  •  Work with carriers (air, ocean, or ground) to schedule and track shipments.
Client Communication:
  •  Provide shipment status updates and resolve delays or issues.
Tariff & Duty Management:
  •  Classify goods correctly using tariff codes (HTS/HS codes) and calculate duties, taxes, or fees.
Problem Solving:
  •  Handle delays, documentation errors, or customs holds efficiently.

Skills and Experience

  •  1–3 years in logistics, freight forwarding, or customs brokerage. 
  • Knowledge of import/export laws and Incoterms
  • Attention to detail with documentation
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency with logistics and brokerage software 
  • Problem-solving under time constraints
