Overview
Ōnin Staffing is seeking detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Assembly Operators to join a dynamic production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating large-scale, high-speed automated assembly machines safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to quality, precision, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Monday to Friday.
- 1st shift: 6am to 2:30 with required OT as needed.
- Pay Rate: $17/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate automated assembly machinery and production equipment.
- Perform complex equipment repairs, set-ups, and changeovers as needed.
- Conduct quality checks following the Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) and document measurements per print specifications.
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on equipment daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Make tooling adjustments such as sharpening, conditioning, or checking spring-loaded pin heights and bend/insertion stations.
- Replace or adjust parts including sensors, punches, dies, belts, and air cylinders.
- Identify and resolve machine faults, clear jams, restart production, and package finished products.
Skills and Experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow established safety and operational procedures.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred but not required—training provided.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks accurately.
- Capable of standing for long periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Fast-paced production setting with automated machinery.
- Requires standing, bending, reaching, and handling tools or small components throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable working around moving equipment and mechanical parts.
