As the Shipping Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for managing workflow, coordinating schedules, monitoring performance, and maintaining a smooth and organized shipping process. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who values teamwork, organization, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and motivate a team of shipping associates
- Manage daily workflow, assign tasks, and monitor productivity
- Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time
- Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in the shipping department
- Train and onboard new team members
- Collaborate with maintenance and management to ensure all shipping equipment is in good working order
- Track performance, identify areas for improvement, and communicate results to leadership
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Recommend new hires and support employee development
Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures and safety practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Computer literacy (experience with ADP, scheduling, or timekeeping systems is a plus)
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Must have 20/20 vision (corrected if necessary) and be able to distinguish color hues
