Overview
2nd Shift: 1:30pm-10pm
M-F (Saturday OT)
$18.50/hr
Production Line Operations: Operating and monitoring processing and packaging equipment to ensure proper assembly and product flow.
Ingredient Handling: Measuring, weighing, and preparing raw materials according to specific formulas and production schedules
Quality Control: Performing routine quality checks, inspecting products for defects, and ensuring all items meet company and safety standards.
Packaging and Shipping: Packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished goods for shipment, ensuring accuracy and secure sealing.
Sanitation and Safety: Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work area, and strictly following all plant safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Documentation: Completing necessary production documentation and maintaining accurate records of raw material usage and quality checks.
Flexibility: Assisting in various areas of the warehouse or production floor as needed, and being willing to work overtime or weekends if required.
Skills and Experience
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Experience: Previous experience in food production or a manufacturing environment is often preferred but on-the-job training is usually provided.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8-12 hour shifts).
- Ability to lift up to 30 to 60 pounds, potentially repetitively.
- Comfortable working in various environments, which may include changing temperatures and exposure to allergens.
- Must be at least 18 years old and may need to provide steel-toe boots/shoes.
