Pay Rate: 18.00
Schedule: 8:30 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both stand-up and sit-down forklifts and comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety procedures to ensure efficient and accurate movement of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage products and materials
- Safely transport materials throughout the warehouse and outdoor yard areas
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of products as needed
- Inspect forklifts before use and perform basic maintenance or safety checks
- Ensure all materials are stored properly and in designated areas
- Follow all safety guidelines, company procedures, and regulatory compliance standards
- Assist with inventory, shipping, and receiving tasks as required
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating both stand-up and sit-down forklifts
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50-75 lbs] repetitively
- Ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments
- Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and productivity
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Skills:
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
