What You’ll Do as a Slitting Department Team Lead:
- You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of the slitting department.
- Coordinate and assign tasks to team members for optimal line efficiency.
- Conduct quality control inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Set up, adjust, and operate slitting machines according to specifications and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement solutions.
- Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize processes.
Skills and Experience
Work Experience
The Preferred Candidate Might:
- Have an Associate degree in a technical field as a plus! (H.S. diploma required)
- Have demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in a manufacturing environment
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be be tech-savvy with computer systems and data entry skills
- Need the physical ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
