We’re recruiting for a growing industrial systems integrator seeking a Controls / Electrical Systems Engineer who wants more than just desk design work. You’ll be in the field, in the shop, and in the design seat—owning projects from concept through commissioning.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Controls Engineer:
- Design industrial control panels and integrated systems (UL 508A standards)
- Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
- Develop PLC / HMI programs for mechanical and process systems
- Build and present customer submittal packages and timelines
- Support panel shop and field technicians with technical guidance
- Travel to customer sites for evaluation, install support, and troubleshooting
- Prototype, validate, and troubleshoot system installations
- Investigate component and system failures
- Help develop and improve panel build and test processes
- Participate in engineering and customer change order processes
- Coordinate with purchasing, vendors, and customer stakeholders
- Manage multiple projects at different stages simultaneously
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- AAS or BS in Engineering — or equivalent technical experience
- 5+ years in electrical controls design
- PLC / HMI programming experience
- Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) experience
- Industrial control panel & system integration knowledge
- UL 508 experience strongly preferred
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Strong schematic interpretation skills
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical ability
- Comfort working with customers and cross-functional teams
- Self-directed mindset with strong ownership and accountability
