Overview
As a Production Lead, you will oversee the manufacturing process within our facility, ensuring efficient operations on the assembly line. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will leverage your mechanical knowledge and leadership skills to supervise a team, maintain compliance with CGMP and GMP standards, and drive continuous improvement. Your core skills in factory operations and assembly, along with premium forklift expertise, will be essential in optimizing workflow. Strong communication and analysis skills will enable you to effectively manage resources and achieve production targets while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Coordinating/Overseeing the production line operation to meet daily production schedule, with 5- 10-line associates
- Fill in for supervisor when applicable
- Ability to learn how to operate all machines on production line and completing applicable paperwork
- Fill in on machinery for breaks and lunches
- Ensure all food safety procedures and policies are met
- Minor maintenance of machines, troubleshoot when necessary
- Ensure the plant floor, is maintained as neat and orderly, free of hazards aligned with 5s principles
- Report/Review any accidents and provide prevention recommendations
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment and provide leadership to team members.
- Must be able to effectively document production throughput rates and line staffing, maintaining accurate record keeping.
- Must possess effective communication skills to effectively communicate daily needs of production while motivating team members to work efficiently and productively.
- Must have a good attendance record with no active Final Warnings.
- Must possess the ability to work well with others.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations.
Skills and Experience
- 3 years’ experience in a food and/or beverage production/manufacturing environment
- At least 3-5 years leading a production team within the food and/or beverage industry
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others in the spirit of common objectives
- Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor team is required
- Ability to work full shift and extended hours as necessary
