Do you enjoy working outdoors and staying active? Ōnin Staffing is hiring Recycling Sorters for a safety-focused recycling plant in Rocky Mount! This is a great opportunity to work with a strong, values-driven team and grow your experience in a hands-on environment.
- Monday-Friday 6:30am-4pm
- $12-$15/hour based on experience

Wondering what you'll do? The purpose of this position is to ensure that the finished product meets all mill specifications.
- Sort through recycling to pick out non-metal materials
- Ensure finished products meet mill specifications
- Communicate maintenance needs and work safely at all times
- Support production goals and complete mill orders on time
- Follow OSHA and environmental guidelines
Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working around loud machinery and heavy equipment
Work Environment:
This is a physically active, outdoor role where you’ll work in all weather conditions (rain, heat, or cold). You’ll be trained on safety procedures to handle noise, machinery, and rare on-site hazards such as small fires or explosions. Staying alert and wearing PPE at all times is a must.
