Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will use blueprints, sketches, and CAD/manufacturing files to produce precision metal parts. This role requires operating and maintaining various machines with accuracy while ensuring safety, efficiency, and high production standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the lathe and milling machines
- Review blueprints, drawings, or samples to ensure accurate production
- Take precise measurements for cutting and shaping
- Select appropriate machines and settings for each task
- Plan the proper sequence of tasks to complete assignments
- Monitor production and adjust settings as needed
- Maintain inventory of completed products
- Inspect output for quality assurance and document/discard defects
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation
- Support team operations by completing related tasks as needed

Skills and Experience
Job Requirements
- Strong mechanical skills and excellent hand-eye coordination
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Proficient math skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with machine tools or mechanical assembly
- Working knowledge of safety protocols
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and use hands for handling materials
- Ability to lift and carry 50–100 lbs when necessary
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must have vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus
