Overview
Ōnin Staffing is seeking dependable Production Associates to join our client’s 1st shift packaging team. In this role, you’ll support daily packaging operations by following schedules, maintaining quality standards, and keeping production moving efficiently and safely. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: M/T 5:30 - 2pm, W-F 6am-2:30pm
Occasional Saturday OT 5:30am - 10am
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging equipment to ensure products are packaged correctly and on time.
- Follow daily production schedules and instructions from team leads.
- Complete checklists, paperwork, and batch tickets accurately.
- Maintain a continuous chain of records for product traceability.
- Assist with cleaning, equipment setup, and line changeovers.
- Follow all company SOPs, GMPs, SSOPs, and safety guidelines.
- Work closely with team members to minimize downtime and keep lines running smoothly.
- Participate in training and cross-training to learn different tasks and equipment.
- Assist with monthly inventory counts and other assigned duties.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or food production experience preferred, but not required – we will train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform basic math for weights, measures, and yields.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems and completing paperwork.
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a production environment with moving machinery, noise, and changing temperatures.
- Must be able to tolerate allergen exposure (milk).
