Skills and Experience
Receiving/Warehouse
- This position will work both indoor and outdoor roles
- Receive, unload and inspect incoming material shipments
- Tag and label materials with correct storage locations
- Verify quantities against purchase orders and bills of lading
- Enter accurate cycle counts into system
- Report any faulty or damaged products
- Safely operate pallet jacks and other equipment
Pre-Finish
- Prepare doors, frames and components for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and masking surfaces
- Apply stains and sealants according to specifications
- Inspect parts for defects
- Ensure consistent color and finish
Trim Pull
- Pull and stage trim, mouldings, and related components based on daily production orders.
- Inspect trim for quality issues such as warping, cracks, or defects before distribution.
- Maintain accurate counts and records of pulled materials in the production system.
- Assist in tracking material usage and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
- Operate saws or measuring tools when trimming materials to length as needed.
- Work closely with assembly, pre-finish, and shipping departments to ensure on-time production flow.
Exterior Department
- Assemble exterior door units, frames, sills, and weatherstripping according to work orders and drawings
- Apply caulking, sealants, and weatherproofing materials as required.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and quality specifications accurately
2+ years previous experience in a warehouse environment
Comfort with basic hand tools
Experience with woodworking or construction
Ability to read measurements
Able to read blueprints
Familiarity with power and hand tools
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
