Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage weekly packaging line schedules based on customer orders and forecasts.

  • Communicate schedules and priorities clearly to line leads and plant departments.

  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), supporting teams in meeting targets.

  • Review daily paperwork, checklists, and batch tickets for accuracy and compliance.

  • Maintain accurate records for product traceability.

  • Train, coach, and support line leads and team members to improve performance and minimize downtime.

  • Enforce company SOPs, GMPs, SSOPs, and safety guidelines. Participate in corrective action/discipline as needed.

  • Collaborate with Quality teams on investigations and root cause analysis related to product quality or safety.

  • Assist with training development, updates, and implementation of SOPs.

  • Lead regular team huddles to build morale and foster strong communication.

  • Perform monthly inventory counts and support warehouse/logistics needs.

  • Take on additional duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Experience

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.

  • 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing required.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP software knowledge preferred.

  • Forklift and logistics experience a plus.

  • Solid math skills (weights, measures, production yields).

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities; able to balance multiple priorities.

  • Flexibility with work hours as needed.

  • English reading, writing, and verbal communication required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

  • Frequent bending, lifting, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to tolerate exposure to production environments, including noise, moving machinery, and temperature changes.

  • Must be able to work around milk allergens.
