What You'll Do as an Industrial Cleaner:
- Remove paint, residue, paper, and plastic films from machines, walls, floors, and other surfaces.
- Clean and maintain industrial equipment and surfaces throughout the paint booth area.
- Remove and replace filters of various sizes.
- Remove, clean, and replace metal floor grates weighing up to approximately 40 pounds.
- Scrape paint and buildup from fixed surfaces as needed.
- Remove and replace protective paper and plastic coverings from walls and light fixtures.
- Break down cardboard and properly dispose of materials.
- Perform other industrial cleaning and janitorial duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Ability to perform physically active, hands-on work throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and frequently bend, stoop, squat, push, pull, reach, and move throughout the work area.
- Ability to safely work around industrial equipment and follow established safety procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Comfortable working around paint, paint residue, and paint-removal odors.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled Saturday overnight shift. (Holidays are mandatory for this position.)
