What You’ll Do as a CNC Machinist:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment in a Tool & Die environment.
- Machine complete parts from engineering drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions while maintaining tight tolerances.
- Write and edit programs manually and use CAD/CAM software to support accurate machining.
- Complete your own machine setups, adjustments, and tool changes.
- Collaborate with the Tool & Die team to improve setup times, machining efficiency, and overall productivity.
- Maintain accurate job tracking and production records using JOB BOSS or manual tracking processes.
- Help train CNC Machinist Trainees and assist with on-the-job training for other team members.
- Follow safety procedures, use appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 3+ years of CNC setup and operation experience (milling or turning).
- Confident reading blueprints, using precision inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges), and adjusting offsets.
- Prior experience with HAAS controls is strongly preferred.
- Tool & Die background, Mastercam/CAD-CAM exposure, or machine programming skills is a plus
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school/apprenticeship equivalent.
