Overview
Summary:
Perform a variety of tasks related to processing mail, newspapers and assembling preprinted sections of the paper in our mailroom department.
What You Will Do:
- Pile newsprint papers from stackers or tyers onto pallets.
- Process newspaper mail pieces and count out loose newspaper sections for orders.
- Feed sections of newspapers and inserts manually into inserting machine.
- Move sections of newspapers and inserts stored on pallets using manual (walking) pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform any of the job duties described in the mailroom as trained and required.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and policies.
- Maintain positive working relationships and good communication across all levels of the organization.
- Good attendance and flexibility needed — we work holidays and weekends.
Skills and Experience
Warehouse or general labor: Experience moving materials, organizing products, or performing repetitive physical tasks.
Material handling: Experience stacking products on pallets, moving pallets, or using manual pallet jacks.
Production or assembly: Experience feeding materials into machines, assembling products, or working on a production line.
Order processing: Experience sorting, counting, bundling, or preparing products for orders.
Safety awareness: Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work area.
Attendance and flexibility: Dependable attendance and availability to work weekends and holidays.
