Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Assembly Lab Technician to support production in a controlled lab setting. This role is critical to ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient production while minimizing errors. The ideal candidate will be comfortable following precise procedures and making adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Assembly Lab Technician – Production
Location: Vinton, LA
Pay: $15.00 – $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Job Responsibilities
- Manufacture, inspect, calibrate, package, and ship HDR sources.
- Receive spent sources and properly store them for disposal.
- Track and maintain accurate records of sources throughout their entire lifecycle, from cradle to grave.
- Maintain inventory of required raw materials and manufacturing components.
- Ensure equipment and tooling are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Inspect products and identify potential problems to help maintain quality and safety standards.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines while completing daily tasks.
Skills and Experience
Skills and experience:
- Previous assembly, lab, or production experience required
- High mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Steady hand coordination and ability to work with delicate equipment Ability to operate manipulator arms with precision and control
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with accuracy Strong reliability, consistency, and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and fine motor tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must have a valid ID
- Must provide proof of high school diploma
- Must be capable of passing required local and FBI background checks.
