Overview
The Dispatcher plays a central role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely operations. This position is responsible for communicating with drivers, entering customer orders into company software, coordinating delivery routes, and verifying that all products are correctly loaded onto delivery trucks before departure. The dispatcher serves as the key link between customers, warehouse staff, and drivers to maintain efficient logistics and exceptional service. This role also requires occasional hands-on support in the warehouse, including assisting with loading or unloading shipments in cold environments.
Skills and Experience
Receive incoming emergency or non-emergency requests and evaluate urgency. Dispatch drivers, service teams, or emergency responders to appropriate locations.Track real-time field locations using GPS and adjust schedules for traffic or delays. Record call details, service times, and operational activities accurately in databases. Relay vital instructions to field staff via radio, phone, or computer software
