Primary responsibilities will include Order Selecting, Housekeeping, and Inventory Control. Associates will use order slips to accurately identify, select, and prepare products while also helping maintain inventory accuracy and a clean, organized warehouse.
This is a physically demanding, fast-production position that requires warehouse experience, forklift experience, order-picking experience, and the ability to accurately read and complete order slips.
Skills and Experience
- Warehouse Experience: Previous warehouse, distribution, order selecting, order picking, shipping, receiving, or similar experience is required.
- Order Selecting: Accurately locate, select, and prepare products based on assigned warehouse orders.
- Order Slips: Must be able to read and understand order slips, identify the correct products and quantities, and accurately write or record order numbers and other required information.
- Forklift Experience: Previous forklift experience is required. Must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment as assigned.
- Inventory Control: Assist with maintaining accurate inventory, locating products, verifying quantities, and reporting inventory discrepancies.
- Housekeeping: Maintain clean and organized work areas, remove debris, organize products, and assist with general warehouse housekeeping throughout the shift.
- Pallet Building: Safely stack and organize products on pallets to create stable loads for transportation and shipment.
- Schedule: Must be available to work 2nd shift beginning at 2:30 PM until all work is completed. Depending on workload, associates may be required to work until 4:00 AM the following morning.
- Fast-Paced Production: Must be comfortable working quickly and efficiently in a high-volume, production-driven warehouse while maintaining accuracy and safety.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality are required. Associates must be able to remain for the entire shift until assigned work is completed.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and repeatedly bend, twist, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to repeatedly lift, move, stack, and handle cases throughout the shift.
- Non-Climate-Controlled Environment: Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment where temperatures may vary depending on weather conditions.
- Safety: Follow all warehouse safety procedures, equipment requirements, traffic patterns, and company policies.
- Teamwork: Must be able to work independently while also communicating and working effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Basic Computer Skills: Basic computer and data-entry skills are preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Background Requirement: Must be able to pass a clean criminal background check.
