What You’ll Do as a TIG Welder/ Fabricator:
- TIG weld stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals, including thin-gauge materials
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components and custom parts
- Set up and adjust TIG welding equipment for different projects
- Read blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Measure parts and check finished welds for quality and accuracy
- Identify and correct issues with fit, alignment, or weld quality
- Work on a variety of custom and short-run projects with changing priorities
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work closely with teammates to meet quality and production goals
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
- Requires ability to pass a TIG Welding test
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 2+ years of TIG welding experience with aluminum, stainless steel, and thin-gauge sheet metal; welding/fabrication experience and TIG certification preferred
- Ability to set up and adjust TIG equipment and successfully pass a welding test
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, gauges, and weld symbols; use measuring tools and inspect welds
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Strong troubleshooting and adaptability
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow safety procedures
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods and lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent
