Overview
The EPJ Operator is primarily responsible for moving, gathering, and distributing materials within the warehouse. Using an electric pallet jack and other power equipment, the operator accurately picks orders, stages products for shipping, and ensures safety and inventory standards are met in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Experience
- Equipment Operation: Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, and stages products and materials safely using an electric pallet jack or other power equipment.
- Order Fulfillment: Pulls and prepares products for shipment, ensuring exact quantities and product types are loaded.
- Sorting & Staging: Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, type, style, or product code. Assembles customer orders from stock, stages them, and conveys them to the packing station or shipping department.
- Housekeeping & Maintenance: Maintains equipment by keeping it clean and reporting service requests as needed. Assists in general distribution center/warehouse cleanup.
- Physical Exertion: Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items.
- Movement: Requires standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and using fingers to handle objects. Frequently requires stooping, kneeling, or crouching for product handling.
