What You’ll Do as a Parts Manager:
- Oversee daily inventory control, parts distribution, and warehouse organization to ensure seamless manufacturing and assembly workflows.
- Utilize ERP/MRP software to track stock levels, monitor usage trends, issue purchase requisitions, and minimize inventory discrepancies.
- Evaluate vendor relationships, negotiate component pricing, and coordinate timely deliveries of raw materials and OEM spare parts.
- Lead cycle counts and physical inventory audits, establishing root-cause corrections for any stock variances.
- Partner closely with production managers, assembly leads, and service teams to fulfill parts requests quickly and minimize downtime.
- Implement lean warehousing practices, maintaining organized bin locations, optimized stocking levels, and safe material handling procedures.
- Supervise and mentor inventory control personnel, fostering a collaborative, safety-focused, and results-driven team atmosphere.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Proven management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing parts department, industrial warehouse, or automotive/equipment dealership.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management platforms, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management methodologies, vendor sourcing, and supply chain logistics.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication abilities to collaborate seamlessly with internal departments, external suppliers, and clients.
- Ability to handle physical warehouse demands as needed, including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating material handling equipment (forklifts/pallets).
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset committed to driving continuous operational improvement.
