📍 Location: Lubbock, TX
💲 Pay: $16.00/hour
🕖 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
⏰ Overtime: Available as needed
The Impeller Grinder is responsible for grinding, shaping, and finishing water pump impellers to meet established quality and production standards. This position uses hand and power tools to remove excess material, inspect completed parts, and prepare components for assembly or repair while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Grind, shape, and finish water pump impellers according to company specifications.
- Remove rough edges, burrs, and excess material from metal components.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and production requirements.
- Safely operate grinders and other shop equipment.
- Follow work instructions, production schedules, and supervisor direction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other shop and production duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience using grinders, hand tools, or power tools.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or shop environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting materials as needed.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic required.
