Overview
The Onin Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support daily operations at our Woodstock, AL warehouse. This role is ideal for an up-and-coming automotive engineer or an individual with experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, or automotive logistics.
The Logistics Specialist will serve as a key liaison between administrative functions and warehouse operations, helping ensure efficient processes, accurate reporting, and compliance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily warehouse operations and administrative functions.
- Assist with operational tasks typically managed by the Operations Specialist team, allowing leadership to focus on strategic warehouse initiatives and new operational protocols.
- Generate and analyze operational reports to monitor performance, inventory, and workflow metrics.
- Conduct audits related to supplies, inventory, and purchasing activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with automotive parts suppliers and maintain effective communication within the supplier network.
- Support purchasing and buyer-related activities by tracking inventory needs and supplier performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Perform additional operational and administrative duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automotive, Industrial, Mechanical, Supply Chain, or a related field) or equivalent operational experience.
- Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, manufacturing, or automotive environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
