What you'll do as: Box Header Welder / Plate Fitter
- - Read and interpret blueprints
- - Plate fitting and layout
- - Material measurement and fabrication
- - Welding fundamentals
- - Problem-solving
- - Plate Test (at a minimum): 1” carbon steel plate test, welded in 2G position with square plate of bottom and beveled plate on top
- - Mig stringer and flux core fill and cap
- - Complete visual inspection, UT and X-ray
Preferred Candidate Might:
- Previous manufacturing, construction, or welding experience
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
