Overview

The Administrative Assistant provides essential office support to ensure smooth daily operations within a fast-paced lumber and building materials environment. This role is responsible for handling administrative tasks, supporting management, and assisting with customer and vendor communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries 
  •  Perform data entry and maintain accurate records and files 
  •  Assist with scheduling, reporting, and document preparation 
  •  Support inventory tracking, purchase orders, and billing documentation 
  •  Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal staff as needed 
  •  Maintain organized office records and filing systems 
  •  Provide general administrative support to management and operations teams

Skills and Experience

Ideal Candidate:

  •  Strong communication and organizational skills 
  •  Proficient with basic computer systems and data entry 
  •  Detail-oriented and dependable 
  •  Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Previous office or administrative experience preferred

  •  May require occasional interaction with warehouse or yard operations
