CNC Machine Operator

Overview

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (lathes, mills, or routers)
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints, work orders, and specifications
  • Load raw materials and tools into machines
  • Perform routine quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces
  • Follow all safety procedures and company protocols
  • Document production and inspection results accurately
  • Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow

Skills and Experience

  • 1+ year of CNC machine operation experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills and good communication
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or certification a plus
