What You’ll Do as a Bilingual Quality Representative:
- Perform on-site quality inspections daily within a scheduled 2-hour morning window (between 7 AM and 12 PM).
- Execute containment, sorting, and manual rework activities immediately upon identifying quality defects.
- Serve as the primary liaison for the customer’s quality team, professionally negotiating or disputing quality issues under company guidance.
- Provide comprehensive bilingual reports, including photos and data, to the leadership team in Mexico using Spanish.
- Maintain on-call availability for rare, urgent plant visits that require immediate attention outside of the scheduled daily shift.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Professional, full fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal) is mandatory for seamless international communication.
- Proven experience in manufacturing quality inspection, including identifying defects and performing detailed part inspections.
- Demonstrated ability to perform manual sorting, containment, and rework of components to uphold quality standards.
- Strong technical reporting skills, including experience documenting issues with clear photographic and data evidence.
- Excellent negotiation skills to professionally handle quality disputes and make final decisions (e.g., "use-as-is" or "rework") with customer representatives.
- Reliable transportation to the Cleveland, NC plant is required, along with the flexibility for urgent, on-call visits outside of the daily schedule.
- Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision while maintaining continuous communication with remote leadership.
- Preferred: Previous experience as a Quality Lead or Liaison, especially within automotive or industrial manufacturing.
- Preferred: Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings or engineering quality specifications.
