What You’ll Do as a Logistics Manager:
- Manage all domestic and international movement of goods from vendors to customers.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including order management, repacking processes, and organized storage using the FIFO method.
- Drive inventory accuracy by handling all transactions within SAP and coordinating with sales and supply planning teams.
- Optimize logistics strategies by selecting carriers, negotiating contracts, and streamlining routes to reduce freight costs.
- Lead and develop the logistics team through training, performance monitoring, and the implementation of safety procedures.
- Coordinate facility maintenance and preventive programs for critical equipment like forklifts and dock doors.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Extensive proficiency in transportation management, warehouse operations, and international shipping standards.
- Strong leadership skills with a background in managing warehouse teams and third-party logistics partners.
- Direct experience using SAP for inventory control and logistics tracking.
- Technical knowledge of carrier negotiations, budgeting, and logistics forecasting.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Five to ten years of professional experience in distribution and warehouse environments.
- Current OSHA forklift certification and familiarity with DOT compliance.
