Overview

- Prepares routine correspondence, forms, reports, and other materials using standard electronic and computer-based equipment.  
- Performs clerical and filing tasks and answers telephone calls.  
- Provides customer service via email and telephone to students, staff, and the public in a positive manner, addressing questions regarding departmental matters.  
- Makes travel arrangements, including transportation and accommodations, and prepares travel requests and vouchers.  
- Participates in proofreading reports, program revisions, and other related documents.  
- Assists in planning meetings and activities.  
- Attends training sessions as available to enhance skills.  
- Maintains files of specified and confidential materials.  
- Assists in monitoring the department’s budget.  
- Processes invoices for payment.  
- Creates requisitions for maintenance, contract parts, and/or services as needed.  

Skills and Experience

- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as familiarity with the Windows environment and internet research techniques. 
- Ability to perform basic office tasks. 
- Capable of prioritizing, organizing, and completing multiple tasks with attention to detail and within established deadlines. 

To qualify, one of the following criteria must be met: • College certificate; an associate's degree is preferred. • A minimum of 30 earned college credits. At least one (1) year of work experience in a professional setting is required.
