What You'll Do as a Machine Operator:
- Operate various machines, such as straighteners, peelers, polishers, and coil processing equipment, to produce stainless steel bars according to specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and identify any issues or malfunctions.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal machine operation and product quality.
- Inspect finished products to verify compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Report any defects or nonconformities to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform basic machine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments.
- Assist with preventive maintenance activities.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned, such as material handling, inventory management, and housekeeping.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 3+ years of machine operation and manufacturing experience
- Steady work history
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience utilizing hand and power tools
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Experience using calipers or micrometers (required)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- A strong attention to detail and quality control
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Capable of working 12-hour shifts
