A Forklift Driver in a food manufacturing warehouse is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move raw materials, packaging, and finished products throughout the facility. Duties include loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, transporting goods to production lines, and ensuring accurate stock rotation following food safety standards such as FIFO (First In, First Out). The role also involves conducting equipment inspections, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and complying with company safety, sanitation, and quality regulations. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Must be comfortable with heights
Skills and Experience
Forklift - Inventory
- Inventory management experience, including cycle counting and RF scanner.
- Cherry Picker
- Reach Truck
- Stand-Up Forklift
Forklift - Donors
- At least one year of recent experience operating the following Material Handling Equipment (MHE):
- Electric pallet jack
- Pacer (dock stocker)
- Stand-up forklift
