We are seeking an experienced Structural Estimator to join our Estimating Department. This is not a trainee or project engineer role—our ideal candidate brings a strong background in structural steel estimating and can immediately contribute to high-quality bid proposals and accurate take-offs.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed material take-offs for structural steel projects with speed and accuracy.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals, change orders, and preconstruction estimates under tight deadlines.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate estimates.
- Work closely with the estimating team to ensure competitive and compliant proposals.
- Utilize company software and industry tools to generate bids efficiently.
- Contribute to maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality within the Estimating Department.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Proven experience in structural steel estimating (required).
- Strong knowledge of preconstruction processes, bid-level proposals, and change order workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to perform precise and efficient take-offs under demanding schedules.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with estimating software (training will be provided on internal systems).
Preferred
- Education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a structural steel fabrication or construction environment.
