Overview
Ōnin Staffing is hiring experienced production workers for a concrete manufacturing facility. This role involves operating automated machinery used in block production and packaging in a high-volume environment.
- Monday to Saturday.
- Pay rate: $15-17/hr.
- 1st shift: 4am to 4pm.
- 2nd shift:4pm to 4am. Must be able to train on 1st shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor block production and packaging equipment.
- Start/stop machinery and ensure smooth production flow.
- Remove defective products and clear machine jams.
- Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, greasing, basic repairs).
- Conduct quality checks and ensure product standards are met.
- Keep equipment supplied with materials (pallets, etc.).
- Assist with general plant clean-up and equipment upkeep.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a block plant or similar environment preferred.
(Examples: Oldcastle, Adams, Fay Block, etc.). - Experience operating industrial machinery.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools (wrenches, drills, grinders).
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical work.
- Comfortable working in loud, dusty, and outdoor environments.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor exposure (heat/cold/weather).
- Dust, noise, and heavy equipment.
- Physically demanding, fast-paced production setting.
