What You’ll Do as a Shipping Clerk:
- Prepare and package outgoing orders to meet company and customer requirements
- Verify shipments by checking product quantities, labels, and documentation
- Process shipments using major carrier systems and coordinate freight logistics
- Schedule pickups and communicate with carriers to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate records in the warehouse or ERP systems
- Load and unload materials using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts
- Stage shipments and keep the shipping area organized and efficient
- Partner with production and inventory teams to meet daily shipping goals
- Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies or delays
- Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
- Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution setting
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and shipping software
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift
