Overview
The Warehouse Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary warehouse environment. This role supports daily operations by ensuring all areas of the facility meet cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize warehouse floors, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors as needed
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly
- Clean windows, doors, and high‑touch surfaces
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper
- Operate cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, vacuums, etc.) safely
- Follow safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment problems
- Maintain janitorial storage areas in a clean and organized manner
- Ensure compliance with company cleanliness and safety standards
Skills and Experience
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous janitorial or warehouse cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
