Overview

Ōnin Staffing is currently seeking a professional and dedicated School Janitor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment for students and staff. A strong focus will be placed on floor buffing, stripping, and upkeep of school floors, in addition to routine janitorial tasks.

2nd shift: 12:30pm-8:30pm
Pay Rate: $11/hr

Responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
Carry out floor care duties such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and maintaining floors to ensure they remain safe and presentable.
Empty and clean trash receptacles, ensuring proper waste disposal.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of windows, doors, and other surfaces.
Report any maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel.
Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while performing tasks.

Skills and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work, with specific knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical stamina to handle job demands, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if required.
