Position Summary
The CNC Laser Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC laser cutting equipment and related machinery to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes, and horizontal benders
- Load programs, adjust machine settings, and select appropriate tooling based on material type and thickness
- Safely load and unload raw materials and finished parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances are met
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues as needed
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment
- Report production delays, equipment issues, or quality concerns to management
- Follow all safety procedures, ISO standards, and company policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts and provide feedback to leadership
- Collaborate with team members and support other operators as needed

Education & Experience
- 3+ years of CNC or manufacturing experience preferred (laser cutting experience a plus)
- High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of laser cutting processes and shield gases preferred
- Basic math skills, including geometry, fractions, and measurements
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching throughout the shift
- Ability to operate machinery and overhead cranes
- Visual ability to inspect parts and read measurements accurately
