What You'll Do as a Delivery Helper:
- Support efficient delivery operations by assisting the driver in loading and unloading materials both at the warehouse and delivery locations.
- Handle building materials such as drywall, lumber, insulation, and more—safely and correctly using proper lifting techniques.
- Verify and track accuracy of materials before departure and during unloading to ensure customers get exactly what they ordered.
- Guide and assist on delivery sites, including helping drivers navigate tight spaces and providing spotting support as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work truck and delivery tools.
- Deliver excellent on-site customer service, answering questions and ensuring a smooth, positive delivery experience.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE and following company safety guidelines.
- Assist administratively with directions, paperwork, and scheduling logistics when required.
Skills and Experience
Work Experience
The Preferred Candidate Will Bring:
- Previous experience in delivery, warehouse, or logistics is a plus, along with a basic understanding of safety practices for lifting and material handling
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. independently and items over 50 lbs. with team assistance throughout the shift.
- Comfortable with physical labor, including bending, twisting, and prolonged standing
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work early morning shifts
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
