Overview
The Technical Service Assistant is responsible for managing and processing all
product returns, including assessment and repair of units for both warranty and non-
warranty service. This role ensures that returned products are properly checked in,
cataloged, and, when appropriate, restored to sellable condition. The position also
involves answering inbound calls from customers, service technicians, dealers, and
representatives, addressing technical issues, parts inquiries, and general questions.
As needed, the Technical Service Assistant may support other departments such as
production or shipping.
Skills and Experience
Check in all product returns.
Assess and refurbish returned units to restore them to sellable condition.
Evaluate and repair units submitted for warranty service.
Answer and log all incoming phone calls regarding technical issues, parts, and
general inquiries.
Check in and catalog all show returns and any unit designated as culinary.
Assist other departments as required, based on workload.
Maintain familiarity with the following software is considered a plus:
o Microsoft Outlook
o Microsoft Excel
o Microsoft Word
o CSI 10.0
Perform other duties as assigned.
