Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Overview
We are hiring a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage the flow of materials in and out of a manufacturing facility. This role ensures all incoming and outgoing products meet quality standards, are properly documented in SAP, and are shipped in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Inspection & Quality
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections per drawings and specifications
- Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) for product verification
- Determine acceptance/rejection criteria and document results
- Generate Quality Notifications (QN) in SAP for discrepancies
- Quarantine nonconforming materials and coordinate rework/reinspection
- Maintain accurate inspection and testing records
- Participate in audits and layered process checks
- Assist in training team members on inspection procedures
Shipping, Receiving & Logistics
- Receive materials and verify against packing slips and purchase orders
- Perform SAP transactions for shipping/receiving activities
- Pick, pack, and ship orders using UPS/FedEx and other systems
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and export compliance
- Process returns (RMA) and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely
- Maintain organized workspace (5S) and manage supplies
Cross-Functional & Compliance
- Use SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) for documentation
- Follow import/export and regulatory procedures
- Support inventory accuracy and cycle counts
- Escalate issues impacting safety, quality, or delivery
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years shipping/receiving experience and/or 3–5 years QA/QC experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- SAP or ERP system experience preferred
- Basic math and strong communication skills
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Preferred Experience
- Experience generating Quality Notifications (QN) in SAP
- Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory requirements
- Background in logistics and dispatch coordination
