Overview

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating equipment to produce quality parts in accordance with specifications. This role involves setting up and editing programs on machines such as the Mazak Mill and Haas Mill to ensure optimal performance and precision.

Job Responsibilities

· Perform CNC machining operations and other assigned tasks to produce quality parts that meet all print and specification requirements

· Demonstrate working knowledge of G&M code programming

· Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately

· Set up machines and make program edits with minimal supervision

· Follow detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process guidelines

· Operate hand and power tools, as well as machinery such as forklifts, semi-automated material handling systems, and overhead cranes, safely and correctly

· Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to support skill development

· Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads

· Work overtime as needed to meet production demands

Skills and Experience

Required Qualifications, Education, Skills and/or Experience

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Alternatively, a minimum of two years of relevant machining experience in a manufacturing environment

· Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, including but not limited to: calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales

· Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

· Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining safety and efficiency

· Skilled in the proper and safe use of hand tools and light power tools

· Physically able to lift parts weighing over 50 pounds (assistance provided when necessary), and to work in bending, standing, or squatting positions for extended periods (over one hour)
